A RED phone for Personal Safety?

What does a RED phone have to do with Personal Safety?

Many of our clients complain they are unsure whether their staff can be assured they will not get an engaged tone or unanswered phone at the office in an emergency.
We Have a solution. This is what we propose in response to this:

  • Purchase a red prepaid mobile phone (for guidance see our shop, and click on “Red Phones”)
  • This phone is placed in an easily reachable place in the office, always plugged in to its charger
  • All staff programme the phone number as a speed dial on their phones to facilitate a quick and easy phone call.
  • If this phone rings, staff in the office will have to give it the highest priority. Next to the phone our “No contact Protocol” is placed (see http://www.personalsafetylearning.com/blog/resources/) , that will guide your response to the emergency call.
  • If the phone goes unanswered for more than 10 rings, the call gets diverted to a duty officer phone.
